First Burn

For the best experience, allow your candle to burn until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface during its first use. This can take up to 2 hours. This initial burn is crucial, as candles have a "memory"—setting the stage for how they will burn in the future. Following this step helps prevent "tunneling," where the wick struggles to stay lit due to uneven melting.

Wick Maintenance

Before relighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 1/8". You can do this by gently pinching off the charred bits with your fingers once the candle has cooled, or by using a wick trimmer. Rest assured, our candles arrive pre-trimmed and ready for use!

Optimal Burn Time

Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Prolonged burning can affect the quality of the wax and reduce the overall lifespan of your candle.

When Your Candle is Finished

When there is only about 1/2" of wax left in the container, it’s time to replace your candle. Our containers are designed to be reusable, and cleaning them is easy!
Here’s how:
-
Place the jar in the freezer for 30 minutes.
-
After freezing, use a butter knife to gently break up any remaining wax and remove the wick clip.
-
Wash the jar with warm, soapy water, and it’s ready to be repurposed!

Additional Tips

-
Keep your candle out of direct sunlight.
-
Always burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface, and never move a lit candle.
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
